To clarify, if this is the direction Osamu Sato wants to take his artwork in - and he certainly seems to have no intention of dialing back on the NFT crap now - then I will no longer be supporting it. I will forever love and admire his older artwork, but it seems that ever since he resumed activities, he’s been more motivated by profit than by passion. Sad, really. Oh well.
I kinda get him of all people going for the NFT thing though when he’s probably not earned very much back despite the cult status of his games. not that I want to pay for a jpeg receipt. (:
but I just want him to make some new art that isn’t just “yippee my Ethereum number is in the file!!” :( real life merchandise would be cute even. if they can make plushies for tiny YouTubers, they can surely make them for LSD. Linen plush pls? Linen plush pls? I’d buy an LSD t-shirt. maybe someone should tell him how real life things are like NFTs but are also like things you can have and keep and do things with and advertise your art to other people in meatspace. and also don’t make you look silly as a seller or buyer.
